Do you love the work you do and the business you are building? Self employment/entrepreneurship can be very rewarding indeed!
But as you have learned while building your small business...the path of entrepreneurship isn’t always clear cut and easy to follow. As you reflect on your progress you may see that your path has looked something like this:
First you had to figure out what you liked, what you are good at and what you wanted to do.
Then you had to decide if your business idea was achievable and realistic.
(You likely went about this second step by drafting a plan and asking yourself some pertinent but difficult questions.) It was probably tempting to avoid planning because you were so stoked and passionate about your idea.
But you went ahead and asked yourself these questions anyway because you knew the answers would determine the likelihood of your business success:
Along the way you may have doubted yourself and your business idea. You may have thought you should turn back. But you pressed on.
And now you make a point of regularly checking in with yourself and your business progress. Sometimes you put pen to paper, and other times you reflect on where you're at to make sure that you're not veering off course or getting too carried away with unrealistic goals or expectations of yourself or your business.
You have found something that you love doing, that gives you a sense of purpose and fulfillment. And you have turned what you love into a rewarding business because you took the time to plan and you are willing to ask yourself the right questions on an regular basis. Remember to take time to acknowledge your hard work, perseverance and willingness!
Here is to your ongoing success and healthy business growth!
