Empower and Motivate Yourself
When you feel like giving up on your business, find new ways to empower yourself. Write in a journal, create a vision board, remember your “why”.
Find a new book or a course that will light your inner fire and expand your vision. Talk to your business colleagues or friends, go for lunch or a walk and share how you are feeling with a trusted confidante.
Take Care of Yourself
You are working hard, probably 24/7, and this may lead you into burnout or make you susceptible to illness. You are the most valuable asset in your business because you are the business!
You take care of your physical business assets, and you need to take care of yourself too. It is easy to become so focused on your business tasks that you forget about your personal needs but eventually you will notice consequences.
To be successful your brain and body need rest! Disengage from the digital world, go outside, or have a meal break… you know what you need to feel your best; so schedule the time to do the things that keep you well.
Have Patience and Set Realistic Goals
This is a difficult concept for many entrepreneurial spirits. You are a visionary and maybe even a little impatient. So it is very important that you set goals that are realistic and have patience while moving towards them.
In the first year of business it pays to check in with yourself and with your goals frequently. Are you trying to rush success, is your thinking realistic? When you feel like progress is not being made quick enough, review your actual progress and milestones, then acknowledge and congratulate yourself!
All great things take time, remind yourself of that fact often.
