As a small business owner you know that you are often short on time.
Here are 3 easy ways to save some of your valuable time:
Contract out your daily time eaters
Routine daily tasks can eat up a ton of your time. If you are not ready or able to hire an employee to do these tasks for you, consider hiring a virtual assistant. A virtual assistant can handle all of your routine daily tasks, phone calls, mail outs, scheduling appointments and social media posts.
Get it right the first time
It is easy to get in the habit of rushing through your daily to do list because as a small business owner you have a lot to do. But try and resist this temptation to hurry by slowing down and focusing on what you are working on. Avoid having to re-do a proposal because of errors or losing a contract because of haste. Spend more time at the beginning of a project or task in order to save time and money later.
Make a daily “Important” list
At the end of each work day draft a priority list of obligations and tasks for the next day. Choose a time (perhaps after dinner when you are satiated and relaxed) to plan and organize the next day’s work. Of course there are times when things come up that have to be dealt with, but overall you will gain a feeling of calmness and a sense of control by being proactive about planning. You can use something like this priority planning template from Mind Tools or search many other great tools available for free on the web.
